Isa Rodeo Limited presents a new world championship rodeo event created in partnership with Mona Aboriginal Corporation – the Mount Isa Mines Indigenous Rodeo Championships, on Thursday August 11.

This landmark indigenous rodeo event will celebrate indigenous culture and showcase the skills of Australia’s indigenous stockmen and women.

The Mount Isa Mines Indigenous Rodeo Championships will deliver an action-packed rodeo program, a dedicated rock concert that evening headlined by Baker Boy, the ferociously talented, multi-award winning rapper who was raised in Arnhem Land and is now based on Wadawurrung Country. Baker Boy was the 2019 Young Australian of the Year, won Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Video of the Year at the 2020 NIMA Awards and was nominated for three ARIAS in 2020.

Performing alongside Baker Boy will be the Sundowners Kalkatungu Dancers from Mount Isa and the Desert Dust Dance Group from Barcaldine, and local DJ and Kalkadoon man, Deadly Jacob will open for Baker Boy.

If a Campsite is purchased not in conjunction with one of the above - you will be contacted & prompted to either a) make an additional purchase to meet the requirements above or b) a refund for the entire booking will be provided for ticket prices ONLY (merchant fees excluded).

By purchasing this ticket, the ticket holder/s have agreed to the full set of terms and conditions as outlined on the ticketing website. Ticket holders must present their tickets upon entry to the event as an A4 printed ticket (please do not resize the ticket) or on a Smart Phone. Government issued Photo ID may be required upon entry to validate authenticity as a ticket holder. Refunds will be issued by Local Tickets Pty Ltd if this event is cancelled before the schedule start date and time for any reason including inclement weather, or reasons beyond the event hosts control such as severe weather, flood, fire, explosion, civil disobedience, riot, labour disturbances, failure or delay in transportation, war, sabotage or other acts of God. If the event is rescheduled, Local Tickets Pty Ltd reserves the right to decide whether Ticket Holders will automatically be refunded, or whether tickets will be transferred to another date with a refund option. Local Tickets Pty Ltd reserves the right to deduct administration and merchant fee charges on all refunds from Ticket Holders regardless of the reason for the refund. Ticket Holder details may be used by Local Tickets Pty Ltd and the Event Organiser for marketing purposes. If this event is cancelled due to a COVID lockdown, the refund policy is: A refund for the ticket price will be processed by Local Tickets. If a scheduled artist/experience/supplier cannot attend due to any COVID laws the refund policy is: A replacement or substitute may be added at the event organiser discretion. This event is subject to state COVID-19 Safe Laws and specific industry practices must apply. Guests may not be permitted to enter the event if they display any COVID-19 symptoms. Guests will be required to practice social distancing. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Attendees must comply with all alcohol, smoking and behavioural laws within the event venue and or grounds. Attendees to the event must comply with the following dress standards, suitable shoes, or any other dress standard as required by law. Cameras, phones, and other recording devices are not permitted into the event.
